Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Car Boot Crazy is an indie game in development. This page explains what happens to the email address you give us if you sign up to the newsletter. We keep it short and honest.
What we collect
Only your email address, and only when you choose to enter it in the newsletter form and tick the consent box. We don't collect names, payment details, or anything else, and we don't ask you to create an account.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use your email to send you development updates and to let you know when the beta and the full game are available. Our lawful basis under the UK GDPR is your consent, which you give by ticking the box when you sign up. That's the only thing we'll use it for.
Who processes it
Our newsletter is run by Kit (ConvertKit), which stores the list and sends the emails on our behalf. Your email is held on their systems, which may be located outside the UK/EEA under their own safeguards. See Kit's privacy policy. We don't sell or share your email with anyone else.
Cookies & analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and the sign-up form from Kit, which are served from their servers; hosting is provided by Cloudflare, which may collect basic, aggregated traffic data for security and performance.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it — after which it's removed from our active list.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the footer of every email. You also have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to have it erased, and to withdraw your consent. To do any of these, use the unsubscribe link or contact us below.
